Roberta (Bobbi) Fulthorpe is a Professor Emerita Professor of Environmental Science at the University of Toronto Scarborough. Her area of expertise is the study of beneficial bacterial communities in soils, waters and in plant tissues. She has taught courses in Environmental Biology and on the environmental costs of industrial agriculture. She has served on the Boards of Forests for Tomorrow, Sierra Club of Ontario, Wildlands League and the Canadian Organization for Tropical Education and Rainforest Conservation. The protection of biodiversity has always been her main focus.
