A Dedicated Science Advocacy Organization
Evidence for Democracy believes evidence-informed decision-making is critical to democracy, and the health and prosperity of all Canadians.
This belief is what shapes our everyday work.
Our goal is to empower a science community and Canadian public that are equipped to engage with public policy to help ensure that science and evidence are not sidelined in government decision-making.
In 2012, the federal government was making cuts to federal science programs, muzzling scientists and shutting down science facilities.
That July, Death of Evidence rallies sent a clear message: transparent, evidence-informed decision -making is critical for a strong democracy.
Evidence for Democracy is powered by change-makers who are passionate about evidence-informed decision-making in public policy.
