Perceptions of misinformation among academics

COVID-19 has shone a spotlight on the significant impact misinformation can have on our lives.
Misinformation among academics.

Little research has been done to determine whether academics themselves feel they are well equipped to combat misinformation and how they perceive their role and influence in combatting misinformation. This is especially important, as they are needed to achieve a collaborative approach that provides effective knowledge transfer to the general public and policymakers. To help fill this gap, we are conducting this survey to help inform our future research on misinformation, as well as to inform our training tools and resources which equip our community with skills to push back against the spread of misinformation.

This survey is intended for full-time graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, and professors at Canadian academic institutions and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. The results will contribute to the next stages of our research resulting in a public report, and will inform the development of future training resources for our whole community. Thanks for your participation, you can access the survey in French or English below!
