Whether it is muzzling or the publishing of misleading reports, interference prevents researchers from freely communicating and conducting their work, and threatens the very foundations of our democracy. But science interference is not a relic of the past. A new study finds that environmental researchers in Canada still face a high prevalence of scientific interference.
