Great start for the Science Pledge
The Science Pledge is an easy way for all Canadians - individuals, organizations, and political candidates alike - to support the public-interest science that keeps us safe, healthy, and prosperous.
E4D held a press conference at Parliament on June 16, 2015 to formally launch the campaign. Three MPs from across party lines came together to take the Pledge, including:
- NDP MP and Official Opposition Science and Technology Critic, Kennedy Stewart
- Liberal MP, Marc Garneau
- Green Party MP and Leader, Elizabeth May.

After its launch, the Pledge sparked a debate surrounding science, and evidence-based decision-making in the House of Commons during question period.
