Minister Duncan recently announced that the government is reviewing its support for fundamental science, beginning with an independent advisory panel. The advisory panel is consulting Canadians on the functioning of the government’s funding and support for science, and how the processes and mechanisms can be improved.

The panel is receiving submissions online, and given our unique connection to both the scientific research community and Canadians, Evidence for Democracy will be compiling submissions we receive and submitting a synthesis to the panel, presenting ideas, concerns, and ways forward for Canadian science funding.

We want to know -- what changes would you like to see in Canada’s funding of fundamental science?

Fill out the form below, and stay tuned for more on Evidence for Democracy’s take on the funding landscape!

Thank you for your input. We'll be in touch!
